Khan is the eldest boy of screenwriter Salim Khan and his first partner Sushila Charak (laterused the name Salma Khan). Khan's mom is a Maharashtrian, whose paternalfather Baldev Singh Charak comes from Jammu-Kashmir and mom originates from Maharashtra. Khan's stepmother is Helen, a former actress.
