Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan (given birth to 27 Dec 1965), credited asSalman Khan (pronunciation: [s?l'ma:n 'xa:n]), can be an Indian film acting professional, producer, tv set personality, philanthropist and singer. Khan is the eldest kid of screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Sushila Charak (laterfollowed the name Salma Khan). His paternal ancestors were Pathan from present-day Afghanistan who immigrated to Indore, MadhyaPradesh. Khan's mom is a Maharashtrian, whose daddy Baldev Singh Charak originates from Jammu-Kashmir and momoriginates from Maharashtra. Khan's stepmother is Helen, a former actress.
